Editorial policy
Genuine Garden Journal aims to make garden subjects clear, useful and grounded in careful editorial work. We value accuracy, context and independence, and we make our standards visible to readers.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against appropriate, reliable material before publication and take care not to present a general observation as a rule for every garden. Where a question depends on local conditions, plant variety or another important detail, we say so rather than imply that one answer fits all.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Paid or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independently produced editorial content. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or determine our conclusions.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error or an important omission, they can contact us with the article and the relevant detail. We review correction requests and amend published material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Images and illustrations
Images are selected to support the subject and are not presented as proof of a claim. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when an image is illustrative rather than documentary, we take care not to imply that it records a real garden or event.
